NEW Application Process
Due to new legal requirements, the City’s application process for serving on a board, commission, committee or volunteer position has been revised.
The new application is very comprehensive and includes the following sections:
- Personal information
- Availability & Skills
- Criminal Convictions
- Medical Considerations
- Notice to Volunteers
- Signature required (for background check authorization, hold harmless release, and use of photo for City publicity purposes only)
Please fill out the NEW application (PDF, WORD) form as completely as possible, sign it, and then return it to:
Longview City Hall
Executive Office
PO Box 128

Applications are kept on file for three years. If you have previously submitted an application under the old process, you may be asked to submit a new one before you can serve.
Information about Boards and Commissions
The links to your left will take you to the City's current commissions, boards and committees on which citizens may serve. In addition, citizens may serve as volunteers or on short-term committees such as Sister City or Hedge Committee. The same application is used for each of these.
Be sure to check all of the commissions, boards or committees you would be willing to serve on, and fill in any that are not listed, including specific volunteer opportunities.
You may download an application (PDF, WORD), or request one in person from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday at City Hall, Executive Offices, 1525 Broadway, or by phoning 360.442.5004.
