Enacts policies and procedures to be administered by the Executive Director and staff. The mission is to “provide opportunities to people who experience barriers to housing because of income, disability, or special need, in an environment that preserves personal dignity and in a manner that maintains the public trust.” This results in administration of HUD Section 8 rental assistance to low-income residents of the service area, provision of special housing for chronic mentally ill, and other special housing as the need may arise.
