The Operations Division's primary responsibility is to respond to emergencies within the Longview Fire Department's service area that included the City of Longview and Auto-Aid with Cowlitz 2 Fire & Rescue, and through Mutual Aid with other fire agencies in the County and in Rainier, Oregon. The Operations Division has four main functions: Fire Suppression, Basic Life Support Emergency Medical Service, Training and Special Operations. Working together, theses functions provide professionally trained firefighter/EMT's who respond to over 4,500 calls for assistance each year.
