Mint Valley Racquet Complex Charges and Hours of Operation

The following hours of operation, fees and charges are hereby established in connection with the use of the Mint Valley Racquet Complex.

Section 1. Hours of Operation. Hours of operation shall be established and posted by the Park and Recreation Department with input from the Racquet Advisory Group, giving consideration to the desired level of service, membership, needs, seasonal usages and economic impacts. Any changes in hours of operation shall be conspicuously posted at the Mint Valley Racquet Complex at least seven (7) days in advance. The facility shall be closed on Christmas and Easter. Hours of other major holidays will be posted in advance by the Facility Manager.

All memberships are for a one-year period following date of purchase. Members may reserve court time up to seven days in advance. Nonmembers may reserve court time one day in advance. Court cancellation must be made no later than three hours before scheduled play. Junior members under 14 will not be allowed to advance reserve courts during Monday through Friday 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. unless playing with an adult. (One day in advance, junior members may reserve courts Monday through Friday 6 p.m.– 10 p.m.).

Any member failing to pay their payment when due will lose their membership privileges. Any member canceling their membership prior to its expiration will have a reinstatement fee assessed if they wish to rejoin again in the future.

Section 4. Corporate Memberships.

To qualify for a corporate/group membership each employer must have seven or more employees (and dependents) to join the program. All corporate/group memberships will be valid for one year following group sign-up date. (Employees signing up later in the year will have membership expire on expiration date of the corporate membership, not twelve months following his/her sign up). Corporate group membership privileges include a seven-day advance reservation, special facility group rental rates, 50% discount on ball machine and free towel service. Employees who are already members of MVRC may transfer to a corporate membership when their regular membership expires. (Transfer to corporate membership will result in group membership expiration date).

Section 5. Miscellaneous. Hours of operation, general policies and rules of play shall be conspicuously posted at the Mint Valley Racquet Complex as determined by the Manager of the Facility and Director of Parlays and Recreation.

Annual memberships are not transferable or refundable. Payment of annual membership fees in advance shall entitle holder to 13 months of membership. (Res. 1506, 1992).
