Homeland Security in the City of Longview is managed through the public safety departments of police and fire.

The current federal threat level is at YELLOW - Elevated Risk. The City of Longview’s goal is to maintain a state of vigilance, preparedness and readiness in the event of a mass casualty or terrorist incident.
