Teen Winter Programs begin at
Longview Public Library
Teen are invited to “Discover, Investigate, Share Your World” during Winter Programs at the Longview Public Library. The Megatokyo theme is a spin on a popular online manga telling the tale of two hardcore American gamers stuck in Tokyo with no money where they have to deal with ninjas, giant lizards, androids, the undead, schoolgirls, and more.
“Teen Tuesdays” are free fun for Middle and High School students at your Longview Public Library, and run January 20 – March 7, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. (longer for films). These programs kick-off with a karaoke night on January 20, followed with a panel on Tuesday, January 27 including Karen Straube, game developer, Mark Counts, ‘Zine artist, Dave Mielcarek, graphic artist, and Klint Hull, LCC Anime Club. February will introduce a Game Night, the book and movie “Howl’s Moving Castle,” and “Knot Knitting” with Pam Hite. The first week of March will be “Press Play” Teen Tech Week.
There’s something for teens every day at the library. Drop in and visit one of the Teen clubs with something for everyone - from Anime to Xbox! All programs have adult supervision. Contact the library for more details. No registration is required…just drop in! Call 360.442.5301 or visit us online at: http://www.longviewlibrary.org/Teens.html for more information.
