“Finding The Right Renter”

The Longview Housing Authority (LHA), Cowlitz Meth Action Team, and Longview Police Community Services Unit are sponsoring a collaborative landlord tenant training on Thursday, August 27 at 9 a.m. at the Cowlitz PUD auditorium located at 961 12th Ave. in Longview.

Several agencies have teamed up to provide a morning session with John Campbell of the Campbell DeLong Research firm and nationally known expert on landlord tenant law. The afternoon will consist of workshops surrounding such topics as gang recognition, code enforcement, housing programs through LHA, Block Watch, Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), and the new eviction laws.

Registration forms can be picked up at the Longview Police Department at 1351 Hudson, or Longview Police Highland Satellite Office at 216 30th Ave. behind St. Helens Shopping Center. You may also call 442-5926 to have a form sent to you, or download one online from www.mylongview.com. Cost is $15 and checks can be made out to Cowlitz Substance Abuse Coalition (CSAC), and mailed to P. O. Box 128, Longview.
