Warrant issued for Suspect in Fatal Stabbing

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of 28 year old Jason Jacob “Jay” Mack for Second Degree Murder and Assault 2nd for the death of Brian Robert Garner.  Cowlitz County Superior Court issued the warrant on Wednesday afternoon.

Longview Police are still searching for Mack who fled on foot after the stabbing.  Mack disappeared and has not been seen since minutes after the fatal stabbing.  It is unknown if Mack has a vehicle but we do know he has limited resources to move around.  Mack does have ties to Arizona and Yakima. 

Mack is described as a white male, 5 ft. 6 in., 120 pounds, short (buzz cut) blonde hair, and green eyes.  Mack was last seen with a goatee.   Mack has numerous large tattoos on his arms.
 
Anyone with information on Mack’s whereabouts or who witnessed the incident are asked to call the CIU Tip line at 442-5929.  Anonymous tips can be called into Crimestoppers at 577-1206 and may be eligible for a cash reward.
