Public Hearing on April 23 for Affordable Housing 2009 Project Design Allocations

Longview City Council will hold a public hearing on Thursday, April 23 at 7 p.m. in the Longview City Hall Council Chambers to provide information on the HOME Program and Longview Document Recording Fee Program.  The public is invited to attend and provide input about projects being considered.  The HOME Investment Partnerships Program provides funding to agency and business “partners” to increase and maintain affordable housing in Longview and Kelso.  Projects must target persons with incomes less than 80% of the Cowlitz County Median Income based on family size.  Projects proposals for Longview have been received from Campus Towers and Cowlitz County Habitat for Humanity.  The Longview Document Recording Fee Program provides a variety of housing projects for persons with incomes below 50% of the Median Income for Cowlitz County based on family size.  Project proposals have been received from Cedar Group Home, Community House on Broadway, Emergency Support Shelter, and Habitat for Humanity.

More information:  To learn more about these proposals, contact Julie Hourcle at 442-5081.
