Next Stormwater workshop scheduled for May 28 at 6:30 p.m.

The next workshop about stormwater requirements is scheduled for May 28 beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Training Room at Longview City Hall, 2nd floor.  The workshop is one of several informational meetings held by the cities of Longview and Kelso and Cowlitz County as they update their stormwater requirements to comply with new state regulations for urbanized areas.  Among those impacted by the new requirements are businesses that discharge debris, process water, or wash water to the storm drainage system without a permit.  The regulations will also affect developers, particularly those with larger projects outside the diking district (hill areas).

Pajama Party Anime Marathon for teens at the library on June 6

The Longview Public Library Anime Club is sponsoring a Pajama Party Anime Marathon on Saturday, June 6, from noon to 5 p.m. in the library auditorium. Films include Axis Powers Hetalia, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, and more.  Wear comfy modest jammies and bring a blanket, pillow, plushies, and any other cozy items. Japanese snacks will be provided, or bring your own! Send additional party suggestions to jan.hanson@ci.longview.wa.us.
