How Kaptain Kaboom got her start! - November 29, 2007

Your online vote for Longview’s video entry could give the city the edge it needs to secure a $25,000 grant from KaBoom! to help build a new playground in the west end of Longview.  Longview’s video entry and the number of online votes it receives count towards 30% of its grant application score.

Anyone with an email address is encouraged to cast a vote.  One vote per email address is allowed, and it doesn’t matter where voters live. Voting begins at midnight on November 30 and concludes at midnight on December 21. You may preview any video without registering at the website, but you are only allowed to comment or vote after registering.

“Longview is the only city in the ENTIRE Pacific Northwest competing for the grant,” reported Kaptain KaBoom, Longview’s energetic superhero, spokesperson, and star for the “Vote for Longview!” campaign.  “That gives us a ‘super’ edge!  You can cast your vote between November 30 and December 21 and show your support for our community, our youth, and our playful spirit!  Be sure to ask all of your super family and friends throughout the nation to vote for Longview.  A vote for Longview is a vote for our playful Pacific Northwest!”
