Coffee & Crayons Playgroup

An hour filled with fun activities for the kids & Starbucks coffee for the adults! Play, learn, and participate in cultural activities with your child including arts & crafts, fitness. We encourage all participants to learn and play at their own pace. Adult participation required.

Age: 15 months - 5 years

Terrific Tuesday Family Playgroup

Let’s discover the world around us while enjoying arts, crafts, fitness, and culture. Develop social skills through guided play with close family interaction. We encourage all participants to learn and play at their own pace. Adult participation required.

Preschool Picassos

Brighten up your child’s day with some colorful art projects. Students will have the opportunity to paint, and make a variety of craft projects. Adult participation required. Please dress for the mess.

Toddler Time

Toddlers will develop social skills while a parent/guardian is close by to join in on the activities. Children will enjoy arts & crafts, fitness, and cultural activities. We encourage all participants to learn and play at their own pace. Adult participation required.

Fun Fitness Friday Playgroup

Come explore the wonderful world of health & fi tness through group activities, arts, & crafts. Participants will develop social skills through guided play with close family interaction. Participants will learn listening and verbal skills through music, stories, & other activities. Everyone is encouraged to participate at their own pace. Adult participation required.

Come in a family friendly costume on Oct. 31st.

Preschool Birthday Party Packages

Our preschool friendly facility and staff will help make your child’s birthday party a success! Parties can been booked on Saturdays, as long as the Catlin Center and staff are available. Packet with more information and an application are available at the Recreation Offi ce or call 442-5400 to have one mailed to you.

Package A
Rent the facility with preschool size tables and chairs, as well as a variety of toys and play equipment that are age appropriate.
Fee: $80 in-city, $85 out-of-city

Package B
Imagine a party with no fuss, just leave everything to us. A provided party host will decorate before the party, provide a craft and game that is age appropriate, guide twelve children through the party and then clean up after the party. Cake, ice cream and juice will be served and party favors will be given out to the birthday boy or girl and their guests.
Fee: $160 in-city, $165 out-of-city

Baby Massage

Develop positive parenting skills involving massage & how to listen, comfort & communicate with your baby. Participants will need to bring a blanket, & make sure baby is feed prior to attending the class.

Preschool Playgroups

Preschool Ballet

This is a creative movement class for preschoolers that emphasize the basics of dance and self-discipline, exposing children to a wide variety of music. Wear comfortable clothes, no jeans please.

Intro to Gymnastics, Head over Heels

This is an introductory class focusing on body awareness and listening. Child should be walking independently. Skills include jumping, balancing, and social skills such as taking turns and following directions. Adult participation required.

Intro to Gymnastics, Tiny Tumblers

This class is designed to improve balance and coordination with focus on rolling, jumping and skipping. Children will learn basics of various rolls, headstands, work on flexibility and more.

Preschool Start Smart Basketball

This program prepares children for organized sports in a positive environment. Start Smart is a national youth sports program that teaches beginning skill instruction, teamwork, sportsmanship, and fun.

Age: 4 - 6

Pee Wee Bumper Bowling

No more gutter balls! Introduce your children to the enjoyable sport of bowling as they knock down pins every time. Improve balance, coordination, and have lots of fun with plenty of time for bowling each week.

Age: 3 - 7
