Crime Analysis

 Longview has a Crime Analysis Unit staffed by one crime analyst. The CAU assists all divisions of the department in the following ways:
- Providing strategic information to the police administration, local planners, and members of the community;
- Providing tactical information to the officers and civilian investigators of the Longview Police Department (LPD);
- Designing, implementing, maintaining automated criminal intelligence systems;
- Assisting LPD employees with day to day technology needs.
