Cadet Program
Police Cadets are non-paid volunteers that support police officers while learning what it’s like to be a police officer.

Community Services Unit
The Community Services Unit operates out of the Satellite Office and provides many services for the community. This unit performs public outreach through programs such as Alley Gators, Block Watch, Citizens' Academy and Highlands Neighborhood Revitalization.

Crime Analysis Unit
Longview has a Crime Analysis Unit staffed by one crime analyst. The analyst provides strategic and tactical information and designs and implements criminal intelligence systems.

Criminal Investigations Unit
Longview Police Department's Criminal Investigations Unit is responsible for following up on most reported felony offenses. Case assignments are based on the detective's current case load and the seriousness of the cases as they are received by the Unit.

K9 Unit
The Longview Police Department currently has a patrol dog and a drug detection dog in the K9 Unit.

Parking Enforcement
The City's goal is to promote safety and provide access to Downtown Longview and listing current lots/prices

Patrol Division
The Patrol Division is the backbone of the Longview Police Department. Patrol officers provide protection and service to the city of Longview 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

School Resource Officers
Longview Police Department is making a commitment to greatly increase our efforts in the schools in hopes of preventing school disorder and crime before they occur.

Street Crimes Unit
The Street Crimes unit strives to be a high volume enforcement unit intended to impact street crime and related neighborhood problems associated with street crime. This unit continues to address issues of community safety and nuisance specific to crime-related problems.
