January 9 City Council Meeting brief

  • Judge Hays administered the oath of office to newly elected and re-elected Councilmembers Wallin, Strobel, Schott, and Kendall.
  • Council selected Councilmember Wallis to serve as Mayor for the next two years.
  • Council selected Councilmember Wallin to serve as Mayor Pro Tem for the next two years.
  • Rejected all bids for the Mint Farm RWTP Pressure Filter Repairs.
  • Accepted as complete the 32nd Avenue Sewer Pump Station Replacement Project.
  • Accepted the bid and awarded a contract in the amount of $38,051.20 for procurement of wayfinding signs to be installed at various locations in the City.
  • Adopted the City Council’s 2020 Federal Legislative Agenda.
  • Tentatively established the evening of February 20 for the Citizen Summit, and the date of March 21 for the Council Retreat.
