The Longview Public Library offers Digital Library Cards

Do you need to get your Longview Public Library Card so you can access digital material? If you have a Longview address, you can get yourself a digital library card online! You need to visit the Longview Library Catalog at https://longcat.polarislibrary.com/, click “Log in” in the upper right corner, then follow the “register now” link, follow the prompts and fill in your information.

You are required to provide:

  • Name (First, Last)
  • Address (Residential) Mailing can be added later
  • Email
  • Phone (and carrier if you want to receive text notifications)
  • Username
  • Password (This can be anything but we recommend using the last 4 digits of your phone number as your pin. We can reset your password, but we can’t remind you what it is.)

Click submit to receive a temporary barcode. You can use the barcode or username and your chosen password to log in to your library account but not to use digital resources, yet. The Library staff will check over the application and assign a permanent barcode that will give you full digital access. You will receive an email with your new barcode that will give you full access to the online databases, downloadable books, and Lynda.com for online learning.

Once the library opens, your card can be converted to a full access card with your photo id and a signed application at the Longview Public Library.
