In partnership with WordFest, the Longview Public Library will offer an eight week series of writing workshops for the public in early 2019.
Participants will have the opportunity to share and discuss their writing in terms of basic elements of good storytelling, including how to open one's story, introducing and developing characters, plotting a story, creating dramatic dialogue, and more.
The workshops will be led by Alan Rose at the Longview Library for eight weeks on Tuesdays, 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 pm, beginning March 5. Rose coordinates the monthly WordFest gatherings, is the book reviewer for The Columbia River Reader, and hosts the KLTV program, "Book Chat."
This program is free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required. Call or email Elizabeth Partridge at the Longview Public Library at 360.442.5321 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Depending on interest, workshop participation may be limited, so registration will be on a first come, first served basis. Visit www.longviewlibrary.org to see other activities at the Longview Public Library. For information on WordFest, visit www.alan-rose.com.
