Free Tickets to Local Plays and Performances Ready for Check out on March 13

                                                                                                                                                         

Use your Longview Public Library card to check out tickets to Stageworks NW, LCC Center Stage, and Columbia Theatre for FREE! The Culture Card program has tickets available for checkout starting March 13 for these upcoming shows:

Stageworks Northwest, Longview Theater: 

Barefoot in the Park – May 17 – June 2, 2019

Paul and Corie Bratter are newlyweds in every sense of the word. He’s a straight-as-an-arrow lawyer and she’s a free spirit always looking for the latest kick. Their new apartment is her most recent find – too expensive with bad plumbing and in need of a paint job. After a six-day honeymoon, they get a surprise visit from Corie’s loopy mother and decide to play matchmaker during a dinner with their neighbor-in-the-attic, Velasco, where everything that can go wrong, does.

Proof – May 24, 25, 30, 31 and June 1, 2, 2019

Winner of the 2001 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award for Best Play. Catherine has been taking care of her father Robert, a gifted mathematician who is mentally unstable. Following Robert’s untimely death, Catherine has to deal with her own grief, her estranged sister Clair, and one of her father’s former students who is going through Robert’s notes. A brilliant math proof is discovered in one of Robert’s notebooks, but its creation is a mystery. Is the proof Robert’s or was it written by Catherine?

One Man Stranger Things- A Parody – April 13, 2019

A brilliant parody on the smash Netflix series.Known for his legendary One Man Star Wars and Lord of the Rings Charles Ross is a geek-boy turned actor turned geek actor man with a penchant for portraying epic stories. If you’re a fan of “Stranger Things” the series and you know what a Demogorgon is, this show’s for you! Prepare to have your Upside Down turned right side up. You’ll laugh until you bleed from your nose--just like Eleven.


Hotel California: A Salute to the Eagles – April 26, 2019

Longview-Kelso Community Concert Association:

Sergei Teleshev – April 12, 2019

Internationally-acclaimed Sergei Teleshev, performs works by Bach, Piazzolla, Tchaikovsky and more. He was classically trained at the Academy of Music in Voronezh, Russia, and has won many regional and international accordion competitions. An engaging entertainer, Sergei collaborates with world-renowned artists, ensembles and orchestras. Master of the Accordion.

Maureen McGovern – May 4, 2019

Multi-Grammy nominee, Broadway and Recording artist, Maureen McGovern, continues to thrill audiences with a voice that defies categorization. Known as “The Stradivarius Voice,”McGovern’s career includes more than 45 years of recordings, songwriting, concerts, and theater, film, television, and radio appearances.

Tickets will be available to check out beginning March 13 and are limited and first come first served. Patrons over 18 can checkout one pair of tickets for free per calendar year.
