Station 81 was built in 1975. It has:

• A shop area
• Administrative offices for the:

  • Fire Marshal
  • Administrative Assistant
  • Administrative Battalion Chief
  • Company Officers
  • On-Duty Battalion Chief
• Day room
• Kitchen
• Office/training room
• Four Bays
• Two dorm areas

Vehicles

Ladder 81, our aerial ladder truck, and Engine 81 respond from this station. The battalion chief command vehicle, the fire marshal's investigation vehicle and a department pickup is also stored here. We have an mobile breathing air supply trailer that is owned from Maritime Fire and Safety Association we store here. Anyone who is a member of the MFSA could request the use of this trailer in an emergency situation.

Department Overview

This station is manned by two companies and the administrative staff. One engine company and one ladder truck company respond from this station. There is a minimum of six line firefighters and one battalion chief on duty 24-hours a day. The fire marshal also works part-time out of this facility and part-time at the Community Development Department located at City Hall at:
